(All polishes in the collection were gifted to me in exchange for swatch photos, as well as Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber and Top Coat; all thoughts are my own)
Hi, little ducklings. I’m back with another Glisten & Glow collection, with this being their Halloween one! I love a good Halloween collection and these do not disappoint. “Graveyard Glam” is a 5-piece polish collection with one magnetic, one topper, and glitter and flake bombs!
Please note that I only have studio lighting swatches of these polishes. I got these done early and had a long streak of overcast/rainy days, and I just haven’t had the time to get sunny photos of these. However, for those of you who are true homebodies like me, these still look pretty dang rad inside!
I will post swatches and thoughts first, then details about when these will be available will be found at the bottom of the post.
A reel of me applying each of the polishes can be found here!
Step into the graveyard… if you dare!
Plot Twist
Plot Twist is a white crelly polish loaded with various shapes and sizes of glitters in shades of red, purple, brown and yellow.
I am wearing it in 2 coats with the Glisten & Glow Top Coat.
Application Recommendations:
- Coats: 2 is perfect.
- Top Coats: If even minimal texture bothers you, use a glitter smoother under top coat.
- Nail Art: Beautiful on its own! Would not use as a topper.
- Time: Great for a mani in a pinch with 2 coats and no glitter smoother!
I swatched this one last as I was the most excited to wear it and wanted to leave it on for a few days. Putting this polish on was a dream; it has such a beautiful and easy formula and is so creamy smooth, despite all the glitters. To me, this applied like a creme! It has the smoothest formula in the collection, to me.
It’s a crelly, but I had no problem reaching opacity in two coats. I don’t think it’s necessary to go up to three at all, but maybe if your nail line is particularly bright or your nails are very long, you may want a third coat. This has minimal texture on the dry-down so I used only top coat. However, once the top coat dried, I did notice that it did have slight texture. So, if any texture at all bothers you, use a thin coat of a glitter smoother or add an extra layer of top coat once it dries.
This one is so adorable to wear! I found the glitters applied very evenly and I didn’t have to fish for them or anything. All in all, this polish was super pleasant to swatch and wear and is a top pick for me in the collection. It almost reminds me of frosting with sprinkles on it. I’m not sure I would do any nail art on top of it as I think it’s perfect the way it is, but I’m sure someone who is more creative than me can do something fun with it.
Also… I’m just now realizing that “Plot” in the name Plot Twist is supposed to be for a graveyard plot… I was wondering for DAYS how that name fit in!

Nail In The Coffin
Nail In The Coffin is a dark green jelly polish loaded with color shifting iridescent flakes that shift red/orange/pink/yellow/green.
I am wearing it in 2 coats with Glisten & Glow’s Top Coat.
Application Recommendations:
- Coats: 2 is perfect.
- Top Coats: Your regular glossy or matte top coat!
- Nail Art: Beautiful on it’s own!
- Time: Great for a mani in a pinch, especially with 2 coats!
Oh, Nail In The Coffin, my love… this is my favorite in the collection! I don’t have anything like this in my collection, but this is such a Tori polish. It’s earthy dark green base is so luscious and delicious, and the iridescent flakes add so much depth to them. Every time I look at this polish, it reminds me of like what an opal that grows in a swamp would look like… and I genuinely mean that in the best way (I’m in my bog witch era, don’t mind me).
Nail In The Coffin is quite dark on the first coat that I’m not sure why anyone would need to go past a second coat. However, maybe you’d need a third if your nails are extraordinarily long or if you’re doing super thin coats. It applies smooth for being quite full of flakes, which is just Glisten & Glow’s MO. And, it applied evenly; I did not have any bald spots even on the first coat. The coats also dry quite quickly, making this polish what I would consider great for a mani in a pinch.
I did not put glitter smoother as I didn’t see any texture on the dry-down, and there was no texture with just top coat either. I could also see this mani looking so cool with a matte top coat!

Rest In Polish
Rest In Polish is a black base magnetic polish with a dusting of shimmer that shifts pink/purple and scatter holo flakes, that once magnetized reveals blue/purple/pink/red.
I am wearing it in 2 coats with the Glisten & Glow Top Coat.
Application Recommendations:
- Coats: 1-2 coats.
- Magnetization: I think all styles look good with this polish!
- Top Coats: Highly recommend a “Magic Effect” Top Coat for the magnetic pigment (like DRK or Tyler’s Trinkets), and use your normal top coat.
- Nail Art: Is beautiful alone, but could also see some cool stamping or a topper on top!
- Time: Longer mani due to magnetizing layers and top coat.
I wasn’t sure about Rest In Polish in the bottle because it looked like a few polishes I have already in my collection. However, that blue magnetic pigment is so vibrant on the nail! It knocked my spooky socks off, and I kept staring at this one on my nails. I would definitely call this the underdog of the collection. It almost looks like it has its own light source, especially with the velvet magnetization style (ring finger).
The formula is super creamy, but a little more viscous than what I was expecting. It is definitely a one-coater polish. It will dry down really flat, and I’m thinking this is because of how full of pigment this polish is for it to be fully opaque in one coat. So, with that said, you’ll want to use a gel-like glossy top coat for it if you like it glossy. Like the other two polishes above, I don’t think you need to go above two coats for this polish, I think it would be overkill, and I also can’t see anyone who has longer nails needing a third either.
Now, this magnetic pigment felt a bit “heavy” for me. I didn’t have a problem magnetizing it, but to get crisper lines, I would highly recommend using a top coat that helps to magnetize the magnetic pigment. I linked two such formulas in the “Application Recommendations” section above, and I use the DRK one personally (you can also get this through Polish Pickup if they offer it). It definitely helped crisp my cat-eye effect! I think any magnetization style you prefer will be perfect for this polish as it is incredibly shifty, and you still get all the colors even in the velvet style.

Headstone Sparkle
Headstone Sparkle is a dark grey jelly polish loaded with various shapes and sizes of glitters in shades of orange, purple and copper.
I am wearing it in 3 coats with Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber and Top Coat.
Application Recommendations:
- Coats: 2 regular to thick coats, 3 very thin.
- Top Coats: Glitter smoother and top coat are a must.
- Nail Art: Beautiful on its own!
- Time: Longer mani due to the addition of glitter smoother.
I would say this polish is the most unique in the collection. It’s not often that I find myself intrigued by a grey polish, but I think the glitters go so well with it.
I didn’t read the description before I applied Headstone Sparkle, so I was surprised to see how sheer the first coat was! It builds up to opacity really quickly. Applying this polish was a bit finicky for me where I went in too thin on my pinky the first time, but the brush looked like it was holding a lot of liquid. I found it a bit of a struggle to know how much was too much on the brush versus too little. Maybe this was just my own struggle, but wanted to note it for other users. So, if you’re doing normal to thick coats, two is plenty. If your coats are very thin, you can go up to three. For context, I went up to three normal coats on my swatches and felt it was too much on the nail.
This polish dried down with a bit of texture that wasn’t going to get covered with top coat, so glitter smoother is a must!

Crypt Keeper Chic
Crypt Keeper Chic is a clear jelly polish loaded with several types of UCC flakes that shift blue/green/gold/bronze/orange/purple/pink (can be used as a topper).
My swatches show 1 coat on my index, middle, and pinky fingers, and 3 coats on my ring finger, all topped with Glisten & Glow’s Top Coat.
Application Recommendations:
- Coats: 1 as a topper, 3 alone!
- Top Coat: Your normal glossy or matte top coat!
- Nail Art: Shines best as a topper!
- Time: Quick way to spice up a creme with this as a topper!
Last, but certainly not least, in this collection is the topper Crypt Keeper Chic! I’m calling it a topper as I personally think it looks best as a topper than as a standalone polish, but that is just my personal preference. The topper ability of this polish is through the roof, and I think looks good with any base color. To me, it almost looks like shiny dead leaves… but again, I mean this in the best way (bog witch checking in again).
Obviously, with one coat or as a topper, you will not achieve opacity. Even built up to three coats as a standalone manicure, you will still see nail line. However, with all of this said, I found the coverage to be super even – there were no bald spots without flakes! That is huge to me as a dynamic topper. And, the formula was super smooth, which is not a shocker considering Glisten & Glow’s formulas. You will not need glitter smoother for any amount of coats as there is no texture. I think it’s gorgeous with a glossy top coat but would be interesting to see it matte!
