Spring has finally sprung here in North Carolina! I believe we’re either finally passed or about to pass the final frost date for our area. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the warmer weather and beautiful blooms across town. Is there really a better way to celebrate the end of winter than showing off the new collection from Nailed It! Hawaii?
Nailed It! is releasing the second part to their “Secret Garden” series in just a few short days. It seems pt. 1 released years back in April 2020 with four polishes: Lush, Metamorphosis, Sakura, and Spotted Lady. That quad had a deeper color palette and most of the polishes housed flakes. Tia’s pt. 2 has upgraded to five polishes. It revisits the nature theme but has changed the collection to align with light spring shimmers!
In addition to the 5-piece collection, Nailed It! is also releasing a charity polish for brain tumor awareness. While it is not technically part of “Secret Garden, pt. 2”, it was made to be an addition to the overall “Secret Garden” theme. A portion of the proceeds from this polish will be donated to both the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center and Idrees Danish Memorial Scholarship. Blushing Phantom
DESCRIPTION: A soft, smoky-mauve tinted base with a warm orange-pink shimmer and a delicate scattered holo accent.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.

Application Recommendations
COATS: 2 coats is plenty, but if you normally do very thin coats, you may be able to go up to 3.
BASE COATS: Your normal base coat is perfect! No staining or nail line visible.
TOP COATS: Your normal glossy top coat to see the tiny bit of holo!
TIME: Dries quick.
EXTRA NOTES: This may look similar to “Cherry Blossom” in the collection but I promise they are different colors all-together. Sadly, I did not do a comparison in real life, but you can see them side-by-side in the blog post banner picture. I think both are very flattering on my skin tone, but I do err on the side of “Cherry Blossom” looking better on me.
Cherry Blossom
DESCRIPTION: A delicate white base with a vibrant pink shimmer and a delicate scattered holo accent.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.

Application Recommendations
COATS: 2 coats is already quick thick on the nail. If you normally do very thin coats, you may be able to go up to 3.
BASE COATS: You will see a hint of your nail line, so use a blurring base coat or nude creme if that bothers you.
TOP COATS: Your normal glossy top coat to see the tiny bit of holo!
TIME: Dries quick.
EXTRA NOTES: For all my pale peeps out there… hear me out. I think this would look incredibly flattering on you! I am very pale and my skin is on the “pinker” side, but I still thought this looked great on me.
Hibiscus Harlequin
DESCRIPTION: A warm, turquoise base with an orange copper to gold shimmer and a delicate scattered holo accent.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.

EXTRA NOTES: This may be my top pick of the collection! It’s very shifty in that you get many colors on the nail. I also think it’ll be very flattering on anyone and everyone. Very tropical-esque; you know I’m bringing it on our honeymoon in Hawaii!
Jade Rose
DESCRIPTION: A cool purple base with a strong green to blue shimmer and a delicate scattered holo accent.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.

EXTRA NOTES: I’m not sure if the colors are tricking my eyes or not, but this looks like a larger particle shimmer than the others in the 5-piece collection. Regardless, it’s beautiful! I also noted that this formula felt a bit thicker than the others, but was still easy to work with. This may be a one-off thing with my set.
Luna Glow
DESCRIPTION: A green base with a hint of teal, filled with a pinky purple shimmer and a delicate scattered holo accent.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.

Application Recommendations
COATS: 2 coats is already quick thick on the nail. If you normally do very thin coats, you may be able to go up to 3.

EXTRA NOTES: This is another really shifty polish in the collection. You can easily see shimmer transitions from purple to pink to red/orange.
Gleam & Glide
DESCRIPTION: A teal jelly base with green, pink, and gold crystal flakies.
INSPIRATION: Hummingbirds and their symbolism for overcoming difficult challenges and embracing positivity.

MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.

Application Recommendations

TOP COATS: Your normal top coat is perfect! No glitter smoother needed for those flakes.

EXTRA NOTES: The flakes create ACTUAL rainbows on your nails. This is an incredibly special polish. Tia makes some of the best flake-y polishes ever! Click on the photos to best see those beautiful colors.
