Kathleen & Co | Facebook Group Exclusives – March 2026

(The offerings in this blog post were gifted to me in exchange for photos; all thoughts are my own)

Well, I was not expecting to swatch these, but they were in my package with Kathleen & Co’s April Polish Pickup offering… so here we are! Welcome back to the blog and to the site. At the time of writing this, these polishes are available at the Kathleen & Co website.

If you’re new to the indie polish world: welcome! I’m glad you’re here! It’s a great place to be with many pretties to behold. Next, what you should know is that many indie makers and polish connoisseurs use Facebook groups to communicate. Some of these polish lovers have made Facebook groups to talk about polishes with flakes, polishes with autumn vibes, holographic polishes – anything and everything you can think of! These groups sometimes work with indie makers to create custom polishes for their groups.

Kathleen & Co has made two special polishes for the Holo-maniacs and Fantasmic Flakies Facebook groups: “Rainbow Hair” and “A Quartz Of Many Colors”, respectively. In order to receive each of the polishes in this listing for $13.50 instead of $15.00, please join these groups to receive the discount code. Click on their names below to get redirected to their groups:

“Rainbow Hair” and “A Quartz Of Many Colors” are available now at the time of this blog post! They will be available on the Kathleen & Co website until 7 PM CDT on April 3. These are not preorder! Click here to go to her website.

Alright – let’s talk polish.

Kathleen & Co: Rainbow Hair
Price: $15.00 | Discount: $13.50

“Rainbow Hair” is a white based holo with subtle pink/gold/green/aqua shimmer with tiny holo flecks.
I am wearing 3 coats with a glossy top coat.

Application Recommendations:

  • Coats: 2-3, your preference!
  • Top Coats: Recommend a glossy top coat over a matte one to enhance all the good sparkles!
  • Nail Art: I can see this being a beautiful base for nail art.
  • Time: Fast drying for a quick mani!

Okay, let me preface this opener by saying that I really do love this polish. I am a white-polish girlie, rainbow-sparkle girlie, and sparkle-in-general girlie. It checks my girlie boxes and it’s still on my hand as I’m writing this. With that said… I have never had a harder time photographing a nail polish! Oh my gosh. Those holo flecks are so beautiful, and dainty, and delicate… but they do not like to show up on camera, unless it’s unfocused. I have about three photos that show the rainbows somewhat well, so I will list them in the first row in the gallery below. Take my word for it: this polish sparkles and shimmers, and the rainbow flecks are beautiful, but delicate, and definitely visible in real life.

With that out of the way, this polish makes me so incredibly happy. It reminds me a lot of my wedding veil. It feels very fairy princess to me, like I should be 5 years old again playing with my dolls in a princess outfit. This polish encapsulates these joys to me, and I mean that sincerely.

“Rainbow Hair” was buttery smooth to apply and dried quickly between coats. I almost stopped at two coats as I felt it looked perfect there, but I think I saw some faint bareness at the very edges of my nails, so I went up to three. I did notice the white became more intense to me after that, so I’d say to go up to two coats first and see if you’re happy with its opacity. If not, do a third thin coat!

Kathleen & Co: A Quartz Of Many Colors
Price: $15.00 | Discount: $13.50

“A Quartz Of Many Colors” is a light purple jelly base with aqua/green and purple/pink iridescent flakes with added holo flecks and bright blue metallic flakes.
I am wearing 3 coats with glitter smoother and a glossy top coat.

Application Recommendations:

  • Coats: 3 coats for maximum purple and flakey payoff!
  • Top Coats: Your usual top coat is perfect!
  • Nail Art: I can see this being a beautiful base for nail art.
  • Time: Fast drying for a quick mani!

You know what’s great about flakey polishes? They look just as beautiful in low lighting as they do in bright lighting! Take that, holo-lovers (I don’t know why I’m pinning the two against each other, I love them both). In all realness, although “Quartz” is beautiful in my studio lighting, I wish I took photos of it in low lighting, too. It has its own glow. And I know it’ll look beautiful with a matte top coat, as well, to look like an actual quartz on your nails.

I did want to note that my bottle of “Quartz” did take quite a while to dry on my nails; I was waiting 3 mins after I finished with one hand before it started to approach feeling “tacky” to the touch. However, I did note this to Mia who asked the other swatchers about their polishes, too. I have not heard anything about it further, but wanted to mention it here.
