(The offerings in this blog post were gifted to me in exchange for photos; all thoughts are my own)
I hate to be one of the people who says this, but… how is it already June?! This year has simultaneously felt very quick and very slow. June itself has been flying by; we had two trips, Maple got spayed, and we are expecting my in-laws at the end of the month. In addition, I’ve had a monster amount of polishes to swatch in a short amount of time. All of this is on top of working full-time. I was not expecting all of it to add up like it did… but hey, I like to keep busy, I guess!
Rogue Lacquer has also been extremely busy this month! You are about to be inundated with flashy neons, glitter bombs, and classy cremes, all in one blog post.
Let us start the marathon of swatches and info!

Light Of My Life
DESCRIPTION: A bright bubble gum pink neon crème.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here for the quad. Links for separate purchase of this color will be available after PBE.
Application Recommendations
COATS: I think this one has the ability to be a one-coater if your nails are short enough! 2 coats is plenty, otherwise.
BASE COATS: Your normal base coat is perfect! No staining.
TOP COATS: Your normal glossy top coat is perfect! It does dry matte, if your prefer that; to protect your manicure, I would first recommend a quick-dry top coat followed by a matte top coat.
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: This pink is slap-your-face bright and sexy! My pink lovers: don’t sleep on this one. The formula is lovely and super buttery, and it went exactly where I wanted it to.
Respectfully
DESCRIPTION: A bright green toned chartreuse crème.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here for the quad. Links for separate purchase of this color will be available after PBE.
Application Recommendations
COATS: 2 coats will give you full opacity. I do not think this is a one-coater based on its lesser ability to self-level.
EXTRA NOTES: The two words that came to my mind were “slime” and “brat” when I wore this. It warms my green-lover heart. I will say, as I noted above in the “coats” section, this one does not apply as evenly as the other cremes in this set. So, be prepared to do more than one coat for this manicure. Regardless, you’ll reach smooth opacity in two coats.
A Lot To Unbox
DESCRIPTION: A neon teal crème.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here for the quad. Links for separate purchase of this color will be available after PBE.
Application Recommendations
COATS: 2 coats will give you full opacity if 1 coat doesn’t, but I do think it is a close one-coater!
EXTRA NOTES: This is a very “safe” neon if you are intimidated by neons. It is very flattering! This formula was super creamy and easy to put on the nail.
Bucc Up
DESCRIPTION: A bright sexy red-toned orange neon.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here for the quad. Links for separate purchase of this color will be available after PBE.
Application Recommendations
COATS: 2-3 coats to reach opacity, depending on your nail length.
EXTRA NOTES: Yes ma’am! This polish is really, really sexy. Like the neon teal, its formula is also incredibly creamy and easy to place.
Glowing Glaze
DESCRIPTION: A grapey purple jelly that glows green in the dark.
MANICURE DETAILS: Three coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here for the quad; Click here for the individual listing!
SALE DETAILS: This polish is available as a gift with purchase when you order the Neon Quad during the pre-release!
Application Recommendations
COATS: I highly recommend going up to 3 coats for maximum evenness.
BASE COATS: This is a translucent jelly, so you will see your nail line. If that bothers you, use a blurring base coat or a nude creme underneath! Otherwise, I experienced no staining.
TOP COATS: Your normal glossy top coat is perfect!
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: Unfortunately, I believe my bottle had some quality issues because the formula was very gloopy and the brush felt like it was going to fall apart. I did reach out to Rachel about this who assured me it should not be this poor to apply, so your bottles should be okay!

101 Dalmations
DESCRIPTION: A white glitter crelly with a mix of black and gun metal hex glitter.
INSPIRATION: “Leaning into my Disney vibes I chose a couple of personal and fan favorites to play off each other for all the cat and dogs lovers out there!”
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here!
Application Recommendations
COATS: 2-3 coats is recommended for maximum opacity.
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect! No staining or nail line visibility.
TOP COATS: Your normal glossy top coat is perfect! I did not experience any texture.
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: This is just the CUTEST polish ever! It is so perfect and lives up to its namesake. I found it uniquely classy, too, and I can’t really explain why; usually I do not find hex glitters to be “classy.” It’s hard to choose a favorite of the duo, but I would be remiss to not choose this one.
Mad Catter
DESCRIPTION: A sparkly glitter bomb of magenta, purple and pink tone holo glitters!
INSPIRATION: “Leaning into my Disney vibes I chose a couple of personal and fan favorites to play off each other for all the cat and dogs lovers out there!”
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a layer of glitter smoother and glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here!
Application Recommendations
COATS: I do not think you’ll need more than 2 coats for maximum glitter payoff and opacity.
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect! No staining or nail line visibility.
TOP COATS: You will definitely need a layer of glitter smoother and a glossy top coat. Those glitters are juicy!
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: Don’t be afraid to really overwork this polish on the nail – unlike pearlescent finishes, this one won’t show streaks as you get it to spread around the nail. I certainly needed to work it more on the nail, but this is nothing out of the ordinary for glitter bombs. Speaking of, this polish could be used as the definition of a glitter bomb in the dictionary! Rachel did not skimp on the sparkle, here, and I love her for it.

Low Tide
DESCRIPTION: A creamy teal cream.
INSPIRATION: “When I saw this image had won I knew that it was going to be a trio. And once it was made all I could see what fun vintage beach, which felt right going into summer. This trio is great as a set or on it’s own. I’m liking the more muted tones which only add to the versatility.”
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.

Application Recommendations
COATS: 1-2 coats, your preference!
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect! No staining or nail line visibility.
TOP COATS: Your normal top coat is perfect!
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: This polish is definitely great for what I would consider a mani in a pinch. Running late to an event but still need your nails painted? Take “Low Tide” in the car with you. The formula is super easy to use and goes exactly where you put it. It was just a joy to use and it really fits the “retro ocean” vibes that the palette creates.
Dawn Patrol
DESCRIPTION: A creamy muted orange/sunrise tone.
INSPIRATION: “The color of the horizon when the sun starts to crest with that perfect orange sky.”
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here!
Application Recommendations
COATS: This is almost a one-coater, but I would still recommend going up to 2 coats. I do not think 3 coats is necessary!
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect! No staining or nail line visibility.
TOP COATS: Your normal top coat is perfect!
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: This is a very soft true orange that I do not see enough of in the nail polish world. I think it’s hard to perfect and make flattering. However, as someone who is very pale and slightly pink, I found this one lovely on my skin tone. I think it will flatter everyone, truthfully. The formula is very creamy and opaque like “Low Tide,” and you will have no trouble placing it on the nail.
cowabunga
DESCRIPTION: A creamy custard yellow creme. (Note: This is my own description as there wasn’t one listed on the site).
INSPIRATION: “Antique white, egg shell, custard… this color could encompass so many things!”
MANICURE DETAILS: Three coats with a glossy top coat.
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here!
Application Recommendations
COATS: I would recommend 3 coats for this polish due to slight unevenness in opacity while applying.
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect! No staining or nail line visibility.
TOP COATS: Your normal top coat is perfect!
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: Unlike the other polishes in this trio, this polish did apply a bit unevenly for me. I did need 3 coats to reach opacity. You may be able to get away with 2 on shorter nails, but I would probably still see 3 coats as the better manicure. Regardless, this is a perfect butter yellow shade that is so popular right now on nails!

Application Recommendations
COATS: It is also very close to being a one-coater, but I would still go up to 2!
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect! No staining or nail line visibility.
TOP COATS: Your normal top coat is perfect! I did not see any texture to warrant a layer of glitter smoother.
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: One of my first thoughts when I applied this was that it almost looked like granite on my nails! It really is a super unique polish. Rogue Lacquer does these flake-bomb polishes so well.
We’re almost done! There are three more polishes that were made as Facebook group exclusives, but they all go to different groups. Therefore, I do not have “title” cards for them. However, I have the polishes and their respective Facebook groups in the bulleted list below:
- Berry Delicious: Red Polish Society
- I Know What You Did Last Summer: Falloween Polish Lovers
- Velvet Vine: Polished Jewel Society
berry delicious
DESCRIPTION: A deep cherry crelly with glowy magenta, crimson and purple micro sparkle.
INSPIRATION: “For anyone that knows me they know how much I love making red polishes. So I like to make them extra special when I do. We really wanted to encompass the richness of the cherry tones with this one and make it a more understated staple.”
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
PRICE: $11.00
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here!
Application Recommendations
COATS: 2-3 coats, your preference.
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect! Shockingly, there was no staining with this one.
TOP COATS: Your normal top coat is perfect! I did not see any texture to warrant a layer of glitter smoother.
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: This formula is much more slippery than the other polishes reviewed in this blog post; it was very easy to flood my cuticles. I think a cleanup brush dipped in acetone will be your friend with this polish! It is so worth the effort though – that sparkle payoff is incredible. I am a certified red lover and I 110% approve this polish!
i know what you did last summer
DESCRIPTION: A deep blurple jelly with glowing blue/purple color shifting flakes and magenta holo sparkle.
INSPIRATION: Rogue Lacquer was inspired by nostalgia from my teenage years. With summer approaching this seemed like the perfect segue between summer and Halloween.
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a layer of glitter smoother and glossy top coat.
PRICE: $12.00
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here!
Application Recommendations
COATS: 2 coats is plenty! I cannot see anyone needing to go up to 3.
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect!
TOP COATS: This polish will dry with texture, so be sure to use glitter smoother under your top coat.
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: Unfortunately, I found this formula to be a bit thick and gloopy. I think that’s because of how much is packed into this polish. The payoff is definitely there as you get a myriad of colors within a super saturated base, but just be aware. Thinner is your friend!
velvet vine
DESCRIPTION: A jewel-y green jelly with shimmering green and holo flakes.
INSPIRATION: “We really tried to incorporate that rich tone of the base with the way the light played off of the ripples.”
MANICURE DETAILS: Two coats with a glossy top coat.
PRICE: $12.50
LINK TO PURCHASE: Click here!
Application Recommendations
COATS: This is an easy one-coater, though you can always go up to 2 coats for a thicker manicure.
BASE COATS: Your preferred base coat is perfect!
TOP COATS: Your preferred glossy top coat is perfect!
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: I am SHOCKED that this formula is technically a jelly, considering I reached perfect opacity in one coat! This formula is honestly one of the best nail polish formulas I’ve ever used. It went exactly where I needed it to without flooding my cuticles. My little green-lover heart absolutely adores this polish.
This has been a labor of love on my part! These polishes are all really lovely, and I don’t think you can go wrong with your choices should you decide to order any. If I had to choose one or two favorites, they would definitely be “Bucc Up” and “Velvet Vine”. Both formulas were just really lovely, and the colors are just outstanding; they scratch particular itches in my brain…
Let me know what you think of Rogue Lacquer’s polishes this month! Are there any that caught your eye in particular? Leave a comment below!

that neon quad is JUICYYYYY 😍
Wow. What a great and detailed review of each polish. I have several of these on order and shipping label was printed. I am looking forward to getting them even more after your review.
Yay! I’m so happy to have justified your purchases. I hope you loved them as much as I did. (:
