The day the makers of Nailed It! Hawaii and Cuticula Nail Lacquer came together to make this collaboration should be a sacred day… These brands are certified Flakie Queens of this blog, and both have also been killing the game with magnificent shimmer polishes. Now, they get to spread their creative wings with a seasonal twist.
This is their first installment and the theme is entitled “After Bloom.” As we all start to make room in our IKEA helmers for fall colors like terracotta, plum, burgundy, and darker and more muted colors, Glow Getter celebrates the end of summer with the wilting of blooms. What’s even more fun is that both polishes have special effects! Cuticula has definitely been on a magnetic kick, and similarly, Nailed It! has been relishing in solars. So, it’s only fitting we have a magnetic polish by Cuticula and a solar by Nailed It! Hawaii.

Application Recommendations
COATS: 2 coats is plenty! I can’t see you needing more.
BASE COATS: Your usual base coat is perfect! No staining and it builds to opacity.
TOP COATS: Your normal glossy top coat is perfect! It dries with no texture; however, I would recommend a thin layer of glitter smoother to make the flakes reflect the light really well.
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: I love how whimsical and magical this polish feels! If you have ever played the Guild Wars games, then this feels like what a Mesmer would wear. Super easy to magnetize and holds well after you remove the magnet. I would recommend styles like the cateye or ring magnet to see the flakes in all of their glory.

Application Recommendations
COATS: Recommend stopping at 2 coats due to plumpness.
BASE COATS: With the blush pink base color, you may see your nail line slightly. If that bothers you, use a blurring base coat or a nude creme.
TOP COATS: I would highly recommend a UV-friendly top coat so that you protect your mani while maximizing the UV transition! Regular glossy top coats block UV, which can minimize how deep the UV color gets.
TIME: Dries very quick!
EXTRA NOTES: Nailed It! tends to make really beautiful pastel colors, so it isn’t shocking that I adore this base color! I’m not sure I would call the UV transition here magenta, but that may also be the green shimmer playing a trick on me. This formula plumps up QUICKLY so use thin coats, especially if you want to go up to three coats.
